Video Case Study:

Small and Nameless

“The best portion of your life will be the small, nameless moments you spend smiling with someone who matters to you.” – Ritu Ghatourey

For my final project of my year at Vancouver Film School, I really wanted to create a story that was emotional and reflected on my values. I discovered the quote above in the concept development process and this really summed up well what I was looking for. I collected a handful of little stories from my grandparents childhoods which fleshed out the concept. The piece ends with an elderly man smiling over these memories of his life.

Thank you!

I am very happy to present to you my graduate project at VFS; Small and Nameless. I completed this project from January to mid March. However, I could not have completed the project for what it is today without the help of some amazing people . Jesse Davidge of Blatant Studios – my mentor. Sami Valavara who wrote and produced the amazing soundtrack. Dylan Laporte who I collaborated with the script. Penelope Walcott who produced the sound effects and mixing. My family from which the piece is inspired by and also for offering information and materials crucial to the story. And of course the ongoing support of my wonderful classmates.
